Responsible owners know it takes a lot of work to raise well mannered pooches and the right trainer can help tremendously. Caring pet owners make sure their pets are groomed regularly, their toenails and hooves are trimmed and cleaned, their teeth are brushed and they have access to water at all times. Whew! Pets can be alot of work! But we think you will agree, they are all worth it!!!

The Dog Spot Professional Pet Grooming is owned and operated by Janet Kennedy. She has been grooming dogs for over 8 years on Salt Spring Island. She offers a wide range of pet grooming services to fit your lifestyle needs. Newcomers are always welcome! Located in the same building as the Gulf Islands Veterinary Clinic -right next door with the entrance off the parking lot. Call in advance to book
your appointment. Janet is a gentle, loving, dog person with excellent skills in handling all your dog’s needs.
Pet Grooming by Elaine with over 30 years experience grooming pets, Elaine provides full
grooming services with one on one attention in a clean bright facility where ears/nails/shampoo
and clip are all inclusive. Sedation Free Teeth Cleaning also available.

Ann McPhee of Trekhond Kennels has been teaching people and dogs for 30 years on Salt Spring, dealing with everything from “manners for the real world” to serious behavioural problems. An owner and trainer of champion dogs, McPhee is certified with the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors and she is a certified mentor trainer with the Animal Behaviour College.
